  • 1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 pound ripe strawberries with stems trimmed
  • 1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar
  • 4 1/2 to 5 cups filtered water separated

Instructions
 

  • Begin by rinsing the strawberries under cold water to clean them thoroughly. Afterward, trim off the stems and cut them into halves or quarters for easier blending.
  • In a blender, combine the prepared strawberries with half a cup of water. Blend until the mixture turns smooth. If you prefer some texture, pulse a few times to leave some small pieces. Strain it through a fine sieve to remove the seeds if desired.
  • In a separate large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, the remaining sugar, and sea salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves. The acidity of the lemon juice mixes well with sugar to create a balanced base.
  • Gently pour the strawberry puree into the lemon juice mixture. Stir it well to combine. You’re now greeted with a lovely pink hue that’s undoubtedly inviting.
  • Add the remaining filtered water to the pitcher. Taste your strawberry lemonade and adjust the water level according to your sweetness preference.
  • Cover the pitcher and refrigerate the strawberry lemonade for at least an hour. Serving it cold enhances the refreshing qualities. Pour it into glasses over ice and garnish with fresh strawberries or a slice of lemon if desired.
